Through the Bristol ChemLabS Outreach project, we seek to engage with teachers, schools and students of all ages to provide excellent teaching and learning opportunities in chemistry. We have active primary and secondary school programmes and are working with schools, both local and further afield, on several projects. For example The Open Laboratories Programme brings students into the Undergraduate Teaching Laboratories at Bristol and lecture demonstrations are taken into schools. Additionally, schools conferences are held at several venues within the UK. Bristol ChemLabS Outreach also supports continuing professional development courses for teachers when opportunities arise. The wider community is not forgotten; activities for non-school groups are also provided.

The outreach programme is greatly assisted through the appointment of the Bristol ChemLabS School Teacher Fellow.
